An integration of family life and sex education into the Icons programme of Religious Education

This is an outline for a family life and sex education component for the Icons programme of Catholic Religious Education. It is just an initial attempt to integrate a family life programme into the scheme.

The outline integrates themes and objectives into the Icons scheme. Some of the objectives are discrete units whilst others are integrated into the present learning outcomes. This component naturally requires resources and activities over and above those available in the Icons teacher’s book and pupil texts.
