Background
This web site was originally put together by teachers from Painsley Catholic High School to support the implementation of the Icons RE Programme for Catholic Schools which was published in 2000.
Painsley was one of many schools piloting the programme, beginning in 1998. The RE department have also been using the internet and the school intranet in RE teaching since 1996, so hopefully have some expertise to share with others in the use of ICT in RE.
Fr. Peter Weatherby (Former Chaplain & RE teacher, now Parish Priest and a member of the academic staff at the Maryvale Institute ) and Clive Wright (Former Head of RE at Painsley and now Director or RE at Bishop Challoner Catholic School Birmingham) have incorporated Iconstoo into Logos RE, a new National resource being developed for Catholic RE.

The material included here is supplementary to the authors' original work and they have no responsibility for it. Similarly, while the Icons programme has the approval and imprimatur of the Bishops of England and Wales, no such approval has been given or sought for this site.
